I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti is best described as a saucy, one-woman romantic comedy about the trials and tribulations of navigating the minefield known as the New York City dating scene. As Giulia shares her stories, she cooks, making spaghetti from scratch onstage. The script is based on the 2009 memoir with recipes by Giulia Melucci. Jennifer Levison, of Souper Jenny fame, has the lone role and cooking responsibilities in this Georgia Ensemble Theatre staging. I Loved, I Lost has been described as "a foodie's dream version of 'Sex and the City.'"
