This silly and fun 2014 musical is based on Woody Allen's 1994 movie of the same name. It's about a struggling writer who can finally get his play on Broadway — if he accepts mob funding and gives the boss' girlfriend the lead role. Also in the cast of characters: a possibly over-the-hill diva, a desperate producer, an actor consumed with when and what he'll eat next and assorted mobsters. The time is the Roaring 20s; the songs come from that era and include "Gee, Baby, Ain't I Good to You," "I Want a Hot Dog for My Roll," "They Go Wild, Simply Wild, Over Me," "I'm Sitting on Top of the World" and "Yes! We Have No Bananas."
